Circumstances of dog coming to shelter: Florida was surrendered by her owner because they were no longer able to care for her.

Condition of animal when it came in, if significant: Florida was very skinny when she came into the shelter.  She was very matted and dirty, so certain parts of her body had to shaved.

Current condition or positive changes:  Florida has put on some weight and she is starting to grow her hair back

Special qualities and/or tricks:  Florida is very gentle dog and easy to walk.  She is calm and content to just sit by your side.  She will not require very much exercise, just a warm bed, blanket and lots of food and love!

Additional info radio audience should know: Florida is available for foster because of her age.  She is an old girl at the age of 13 and would love to live out the rest of her life in a comfortable home environment. As a foster, Florida’s medical care would be covered by the shelter.  The foster family would only be responsible for providing Florida with food and a warm home to finish her life in.
