Titan

Hey! I'm Titan, a male Boxer around four years and ten months old. I was first brought in as a stray on 1-20-08. I was adopted out for over three years but was returned on 3-19-12 because I played too rough with other dogs and although I'm good with people, my owner was afraid to have me around her young daughter. For more information about me, call 724-222-7387 or come pay us a visit at the shelter any day!

Hello! I'm Lassie, a male Collie a little over seven years old. I was found as a stray on Smith Township State Road on 3-30-12. I'm a fun older dog who brings a sense of assurance when I'm in the company of others. I'm outgoing, I get along with others well and I know how to sit and give paw. I'd be a wonderful family dog or a friendly companion for anyone. For more information about me, call 724-222-7387 or come pay us a visit at the shelter any day!

Alan
Wednesday 03-28-2012 9:37am ET

Dog’s name:    Alan
Breed or mix: Labrador Retriever
Age:  2 years and 4 months old
Ready for adoption?: Yes Ready now
Approximate weight: 50 lbs

Gets along with:  (other dogs, cats, children (all ages), men, women) Comments:  Alan doesn’t get along with dogs or cats. He can be a little finicky around people so older kids would be alright and adult men and women would be fine as long as they took their time with him.

Date into shelter: 11-9-11

Circumstances of dog coming to shelter: Alan was seized on 11-9-11 when he was found abandoned in a house in McDonald.

Condition of animal when it came in, if significant: Very shy and apprehensive when he came in. Wasn’t much for attention. Generally just unsure of his new surroundings back in November.

Current condition or positive changes:  Becoming more comfortable in his temporary abode. Still not the most affectionate but he is a focused Retriever that loves being outside romping around.

Special qualities and/or tricks: Alan loves to play and get himself in to bouts with his favorite squeaky toys! A quiet dog that often gets overlooked.

Additional info radio audience should know: Alan is a quiet guy with an aloof personality. He can be affectionate but he’s very independent and usually doing his own thing. He’s primed to be a friendly companion; however he doesn’t fair well with dogs or cats. He walks well on a leash and he has a stocky build that keeps him inquisitive and close to the ground. He’s bound to be a loyal boy he just needs some guidance and someone wondrous to cross paths with.
