Andrew McCutchen homered last night, pausing as he left the batter’s box. Milwaukee pitcher Wily Peralta took exception and threw high and tight to the next hitter, Justin Morneau. HBP.
The benches and bullpens emptied. No punches, just venting.
Good. I’m glad to see it. I’m happy to see the Pirates get mad.
The Pirates can be bullied. Cincinnati does it frequently. The stakes will only get higher. You need guts, and you need to occasionally display your possession thereof. You need as much testosterone as you can muster without using a needle.
Peralta threw at Morneau. That’s unacceptable. Morneau’s teammates made that clear. With six games remaining against the Reds, maintaining that attitude might come in handy.
A.J. Burnett led the charge out of the Pirates’ dugout. No surprise there. #BADASS
