You can't have heroes without villains. If Lewis played for the Steelers, you would LOVE HIM.

Lewis is an ALL-TIME GREAT. A first-ballot Hall-of-Famer.

I love when Steelers fans play the CLASS card. They cite DIGNITY. "We don't have players like that in Pittsburgh." GIVE ME A BREAK.

In 2000, two men got stabbed in Atlanta. Lewis didn't want to snitch on his boys. But, ultimately, he did. No matter. Acquittals all around. Steelers fans act like Lewis wielded the knife. Meanwhile...

James Harrison: DOMESTIC ABUSE.

Santonio Holmes: POT BUST.

Rashard Mendenhall: MOURNING BIN LADEN.

Bam Morris: INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE.

Ernie Holmes: SHOOTING AT COP.

Alameda Ta'amu: FIVE FELONIES PENDING.

Here's all you need to know about the Steelers: When it comes to Ta'amu, they are not debating the severity of what he's alleged to have done. They are debating his worth as a football player. That will determine what happens. CLASS and DIGNITY don't matter.

Ray Lewis, get well soon.

UPDATE: The Steelers have suspended Ta'amu for two games. He remains on the team.

Ta'amu is accused of five felonies, and evidence is plentiful.

Meanwhile, the Steelers endorsed the NFL's six-game suspension of Ben Roethlisberger in 2010 for violating the league's personal-conduct policy even though CHARGES WERE NEVER FILED. The Steelers actually considered trading Roethlisberger.

Why give your obviously guilty rookie NT benefit of the doubt, but pile on your star QB?
