What I miss most about being young is the MUSIC. The importance of it during the '60s, '70s and '80s. Kids today don't have that. Today's music is so DISPOSABLE.
I grew up with Led Zeppelin. Faces. Aerosmith was a constant. UFO: "Strangers in the Night." Whitesnake slides it in. Van Halen. Anything with Ritchie Blackmore or Ronnie James Dio. 1981: Motley Crue. You'd wait outside for the record store to open when a new LP was due.
With NO APOLOGIES to U2, the best Irish band ever is THIN LIZZY. Multiracial. Both sides of the border. Catholic and Protestant. Elements of Irish folk. Thin Lizzy=Ireland.
Phil, Robbo, Downey and Gorham. The classic lineup. "Rosalie." She knows music. I know music. Do ya see? T'IN LIZZY. Phil Lynott, RIP.
