That's an EXCELLENT question! Happy to help, just follow these very simple steps!
1) Don't suck.
2) Upload your band's bio, photos, mp3's and other assorted media at http://edgeofthex.com
3) Continue to not suck.
4) DO NOT SWEAR in your song or provide a clean edit. If you swear, I'm not going to play it, because I like my job more than I like your band.
5) Be of radio quality. What does this mean? Compared to the rest of your CD collection, does it sound like crap? If yes, then don't send it. If you can't tell, then God have mercy on you...and me.
6) Email me your MP3 at abby@wxdx.com. Include your band name (yes some people really don't), song title, album, release date, band website, and any upcoming shows.
**Please note, when I say "send an MP3," I don't mean send two, three, or eight friggin' songs. Just one song, please. I also don't give a crap about your eleven minute opus. Keep it under five minutes. Otherwise, you'll junk up my email and then I'll hate you for life.**
Go forth and rock...and or roll...but please don't suck.

STP lawsuit!

It's about to get ugly.... Now we have some details about the STP/Scott Weiland fued, and it's turned into a legal battle. STP filed suit against their former frontman this past Friday in L.A. citing breach of contract. They are looking for a jury trial. Here's how an official statement read...
"Throughout the years, Weiland showed up late, or sometimes not at all, for concerts. He slurred or forgot the words to songs that he wrote the lyrics for" . "He also forced the cancellation of many tour dates. The Band endured much strife and lost significant opportunities because of Weiland." "blatantly violating his duties" and"attempting to sabotage the band."
The band has been working with Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington in the mean time, and it sounds pretty good. What do you think? Should they finally part ways for good? Want them to kiss and make up? Tell me what you think below in the comments section.
