UK indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs have are releasing a brand new album on April 1st, and it's inspired by a Tony Blair speech.
Frontman Ricky Wilson says, while Education, Education, Education and War was recorded in Atlanta, the new album "reaffirms their Britishness." The record's title comes from a 2005 speech from then Prime Minster Tony Blair, where Blair called education "the key to the door of Britain's future success."
Wilson adds, "This album is more about the futility of everything. We don't really think a band from the north of England can change anything. None of us are Bono. But the album just became political, and we just went with it."
